Day two of the workshop with Beth Jansen was just as amazing as day one. We focused on babies, newborns and shooting with natural window light. I love newborns and shoot a lot of them, but Beth brought me to a whole new level. Her set-ups are amazing, and her knowledge of indoor natural light opened my eyes to a whole new way of shooting. Here are some of a few from our day.
AI is becoming a fun tool in photography—but it’s just that... a tool.

The first image is an AI-enhanced version of Nico’s birthday portrait. The second is the original photograph that was created in my studio. The lighting, the expression, the pose, and the moment are all real. AI simply added a whimsical background to create a storybook feel.
I love offering both options because they each have their place. Some families prefer clean, timeless portraits that will never go out of style. Others love a little extra magic. There’s no right or wrong—it’s all about what fits your family’s style.
My goal will always be to create beautiful photographs first. From there, we can decide whether to keep them classic, add a touch of creativity, or enjoy a mix of both.

Every newborn session includes:
