Not your typical baby photos

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  Miami has it all…beaches, lush green space, hip urban areas, art deco buildings, etc.  The list goes on and on, and it makes the possibilities for baby photos endless.

I just love it when parents request a more urban setting for their shots – it’s fun to get out and explore the city for different possible backdrops.  I also love the colors and textures of downtown Miami.  I seem to find a new favorite spot each time I shoot.

I met Ben for his 1 year photos on a day that was hotter than hot!  The little guy didn’t seem to mind the heat though and had me chasing him around town.  I usually don’t take a break during shoots, but we decided some A/C time in the car was in order.  Ben was a great and had fun wandering around and smiling for the camera.  Then he really had some fun when we pulled out the cake for cake smash photos.  He was covered in blue icing by the time we finished.

Ben’s parents just moved into a new house and are eager to start filling it with photos.  They ordered three large canvases from this shoot and can’t wait to hang them and turn house into a home!
