Cake smash photoshoots don’t have to be all about smashing a cake. I prefer to start the photoshoot with beautiful portraits of the baby. In my opinion, those are the ones that will withstand the test of time. For this session, we did 5 looks. We started with portraits of the baby girl in her tutu dress in my beautiful studio window. We then moved on to portraits with her big brother who I’ve also photographed since birth. Next we did some adorable naked shots with a pink scarf and teddy bears, then onto a sweet white dress. Finally we finished up the session with the cake smash.

So many inquiries come in just asking about a cake smash, but as you can see below, we can get many more looks done at your session. Of course it depends on how cooperative your baby is, but for the most part I can get through 3-5 looks. The session below was a total of 5 looks in one hour. We always finish with the cake since they get messy. Most babies actually don’t love the cake or getting messy, but this baby girl enjoyed it.
