Award Winning Photography in Coral Gables

I am so pleased to announce that I am a finalist in Capture Coral Gables 2013 – a photography contest and exhibit presented by The Coral Gables Museum.

I was deemed an award winning photographer by the same museum in 2012, so I am absolutely thrilled to be considered for this award once again.

While I love family photography, I also really enjoy snapping photos of nature. I was outside with the kids one day when I saw this lizard perched upon a palm frond after a rainstorm.  I thought it looked so interesting, so I played around with my macro lens and snapped this shot.

My photo will be hung in their gallery all summer and will be open to the public for viewing and public voting. The gallery opening is this Friday from 6-9pm, so please feel free to stop by and cast a vote!

The award winning photography will be announced Aug 31, 2013.
