So Many Location Options for Family Photography in Miami

We are so lucky to live in a city where you can comfortably take outdoor photos year-round.   Not just outdoor photos, vibrant photos with lush greenery for backdrops.  On top of that, there are so many locations to choose from for great outdoor family photography in Miami…from the gorgeous beaches, to the colorful design district, to beautifully manicured parks and gardens.  The family in the photos below asked to do their recent photo shoot in their own backyard.  Having seen it before (they are friends of mine), I knew it would be a photographer’s dream…and it was.

We took some gorgeous photos in this family’s backyard in Coral Gables.  The colors and textures could not have been more perfect for taking pictures.  Plus I always enjoy photographing good friends – the kids feel completely comfortable from the start, which helps me get some really amazing pictures.  One of my favorites from the day was the one of the family stretched out on the bed.  When I take family portraits at a client’s home, I always suggest ending the shoot with the family lounging on mom and dad’s bed.  It’s such a great shot because the kids are so comfortable and likely to end up there anyway!  It was so nice working with this sweet family.
